My Scentsy Story…

I have always loved candles and I always had a candle burning in every room of my home. I stopped after my now five-year-old son was about two-years-old. My candle obsession ended after I was burning one of my favorite scents in my bedroom. I was horrified when I walked in on my little boy holding the candle in his hands getting ready to take a “drink” out of the glass jar. All I remember is screaming out loud which caused him to freeze in fear. This situation could have ended in a very tragic way. I am just so thankful his first reaction was not to drop the candle. Needless to say, after this day I threw out all the candles that I owned.

I was introduced to Scentsy by my co-workers. They were so excited when they received their first order and they kept on placing orders. I decided to try my luck at becoming a consultant as I already had a loyal customer base. I am very glad to say that I don’t regret it as I am having a lot of fun selling Scentsy. Now when my five-year-old son and four-year-old daughter tell on each other for dipping their fingers in the Scentsy wax I just tell them to go wash their hands—then I yell at them.

How to use a Scentsy Warmer
1. Plug it in. Turn it on.
2. Place one or more sections of your Scentsy Bar into the dish.

How to change a Scentsy Fragrance
1. Completely melt the wax in the dish.
2. Pour the melted wax into its original packaging to reform the wax.
3. Clean dish with a paper towel.
4. Store used bar in a cool place or discard.

Did you notice the new curves on the Scentsy bars and bricks? Well the bars now have 8 break apart cubes instead of six. Their new shape also means that you get more bang for your buck! A Scentsy bar now contains 33% more product than before at the same great price. The Scentsy bricks also underwent a makeover. The bricks are now easier to break apart. Sometimes change is good. In Scentsy’s case, it’s Scentsational.

The Arbor Boys Scentsy Fundraiser

The Arbor Boys are a group of very young talented people who have been making films since they were in High School (about 2 years now). They are now on a mission to raise money so that they can purchase much needed equipment so that they can begin filming their first full-length film. As a group, they have written, starred and edited numerous short films. They are “hands-on” when it comes to their films. They have financed the majority of their film by selling items on Ebay, begging their family for money, anything and everything that will add to their film fund. The Arbor Boys are targeting the many women in their lives by having a Scentsy Fundraiser. The goal is to raise $500 so that they can purchase a professional camera. Omar is my younger brother so I can truly say that he is very passionate about the work that he does…even though I sometimes don’t understand all of his movies. The following is Omar’s sales pitch:

“Hi, I'm Omar and for the last two months we've been raising money to start shooting our first movie. We've been doing short films as a hobby for years but we're hoping this project will be the start of our careers, and we can't do that without new equipment so we're teaming up with my sister Sonia to sell some candles! It'd be awesome if you wanna buy from us to help us out, maybe we can figure out a deal to be thanked in the credits. =)”
